Victory Drawing

From collection Muhammad Ali Center Permanent Collection

Victory Drawing

Drawn in blue ink pen, this image is a sketch of boxer's body. The figure is drawn from front perspective with hands and arms extended over the head - off paper - as though celebrating a victory. The boxing shorts have Everlast written around the waistband. The face is cut off above the nose, at the elbows and at the knees. It is drawn on the back of Loew's Midtown Motor Inn stationary. LeRoy Neiman wrote "Ali victory drawing" on the bottom of the back of the paper.
