Clay Explodes Liston, Boxing - Record American, May 26, 1965

Newspaper clipping about the sequence of events that transpired during the rematch fight between Muhammad Ali (referred to as Cassius Clay) and Sonny Liston. Ali knocked Liston down in the first round and failed to go to a neutral corner, so the referee, Jersey Joe Walcott, had to push him into one. By the time Walcott got Ali into a neutral corner, the knockdown timekeeper had already reached 12 seconds and the fight was declared over.
