George Thomas 'Mickey' Leland Phoenix Award, 2014
The award is made of alternating blue and clear glass feathers, imitating those of a phoenix. The glass piece rests on a wooden base with a glass top and a plaque that reads, "The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Presents The George Thomas 'Mickey' Leland Phoenix Award to Muhammad Ali - Humanitarian - Awarded on behalf of the members of the Congressional Black Caucus in recognition of the exceptional compassion and great commitment to championing the causes of the poor, the underprivileged and the oppressed. September 27, 2014."
