Supreme Court of the United States, October Term, 1966 Motion Booklet
A booklet written by Hayden C. Covington, attorney to Muhammad Ali between 1966 and 1967. This booklet is a motion "for leave to file petition and petition for writ of mandamus and supporting brief," and was presented to the United States Supreme Court during their October term of 1966. This motion was filed after Muhammad Ali was deemed fit to be drafted into the United States Army and he sought to be classified as a Conscientious Objector, which was denied by the District Court of Kentucky.
