Muhammad Ali vs. Earnie Shavers Commemorative Pin, 1977
A small, felt pin in the shape of a boxing glove with stitching reads, "Ali-Shavers World Heavyweight Championship," along with the date and venue of the fight. Above the boxer's names is also a stitched version of the Madison Square Garden's logo.

Donated by George Kalinsky in 2015.

This pin was sold at what would be Muhammad Ali's eighth and final fight at Madison Square Garden. In true Ali fashion, he feigned being hurt worse than he was, resulting in Earnie Shavers refusing to go for a knockout. The fight went the distance and Ali was declared the winner by unanimous decision. Some boxing experts regard the champ's performance in this fight to be one of the finest in his career.
