Muhammad and LeRoy: A Friendship in Art
Color photograph of Muhammad and LeRoy seated at a white, round table. Both figures are bent over their work. LeRoy has a pen in his mouth, another in his left hand, and his right hand is extended toward the art he is creating. Muhammad is holding a large piece of paper and appears to be captivated by what he is working on. (Please see next slide for the work he created.)
Muhammad Ali was in Manila, the capital of the Philippines, for his upcoming bout against Joe Frazier, the third and final match in their rivalry, on October 1, 1975.
Photograph belongs to the LeRoy Neiman and Janet Byrne Neiman Foundation, and is on digital loan for this exhibit.
