Muhammad and LeRoy: A Friendship in Art
Artwork painted in watercolor by Muhammad Ali. The work was painted at the Mid-Town Motor Inn in New York. The subject is Muhammad's then upcoming boxing match against Zora Folley, which was set to take place at Madison Square Garden on March 22, 1967.
His ninth title defense, the bout would be Muhammad's last before his three year suspension from boxing for his Conscientious Objection to the Vietnam War.
Donated to the Muhammad Ali Center in 2017 by the LeRoy Neiman and Janet Byrne Neiman Foundation.
