As the quintessential champion of compassion, Muhammad Ali's mission in life was to ensure that everyone he met felt that they belonged and that he cared about them. Aside from being compassionate, Ali wanted others to do the same and he hoped to inspire them to do so. 

In honor of what would have been the champ's 83rd birthday, the newly created Muhammad Ali Index released the inaugural Compassion Report for 2025. The goal of the Muhammad Ali Index is to track the cultural trends shaping compassion in cities across America, and develop insights and opportunities for “Impact Partners” to use this data and drive behavioral change to create a more just and compassionate community. With the index and the compassion report, we hope to inspire all people to consider how they can be more compassionate to themselvs, their loved ones, and the people in their communities.
