Muhammad and LeRoy: A Friendship in Art

Black and white photograph of LeRoy Neiman and Muhammad Ali taken in the gym at Fighter's Heaven Training Camp in Deer Lake, Pennsylvania. LeRoy is situated at Muhammad's side with his arm resting on Muhammad's shoulder. Muhammad is wearing sweatpants and sweating. In the background is a painted likeness of Muhammad painted by LeRoy on August 14, 1973. The photograph of the friends was taken the same day the painting was completed. It appears as though Muhammad was training as LeRoy was painting.
