Buck White on Broadway

During Muhammad's exile from boxing, he had to use his talents elsewhere to earn a living for his family. He toured colleges across the United States giving lectures, he opened a restaurant, and unexpectedly, he starred in a musical on Broadway.

On December 2, 1969, Buck White opened at the George Abbott Theater in New York City, starring Muhammad Ali in the title role. The show was short lived as its closing night was December 6, 1969. During the show, Muhammad recited this poem.
