Petition for Release of Bonds, circa 1963
A petition and order for the release of United States Savings Bonds that were given to Muhammad Ali (then Cassius Clay) when he initially signed his contract with the Louisville Sponsoring Group on October 26, 1960. The petition calls for the release of the bonds to Ali after he had turned 21 years old on January 17, 1963. The petition mistakenly states that his birthday was January 30th.
