Muhammad and LeRoy: A Friendship in Art

Black and white photograph of Muhammad Ali and LeRoy Neiman at the 7th annual American Sportscasters Association Hall of Fame Dinner on December 5, 1991. The two are pictured standing side by side in tuxedos and smiling. 

Muhammad was awarded Sports Legend of the Year, 1991. LeRoy was present at the dinner with other guests like Larry King and Don Dunphy who was recognizable as the "voice of boxing".  

A few years later. LeRoy was chosen as the Humantiarian Award winner for 1997 at the 13 annual American Sportscaster Association Hall of Fame dinner, held on April 23, 1998.
