"Zora Folley Fight" Watercolor Painting by Muhammad Ali, March 26, 1967

Donated by the LeRoy Neiman Foundation in 2017.

Madison Square Garden through Ali's Eyes

Instead of a prediction for a fight, this painting shows us how Muhammad Ali interpreted his victory against Zora Folley on March 22, 1967, at Madison Square Garden. Ali's feet are drawn to make it appear as though they are in motion, once again demonstrating the "Ali Shuffle."

Just as expected, LeRoy Neiman and his assistant can be found amongst an otherwise faceless crowd of fight fans.
